Moss Valley Primary Academy Celebrates Glowing Ofsted Report

Moss Valley Primary Academy is proud to celebrate the outcome of its recent Ofsted inspection, which recognised the school as ‘Good’ in all areas, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years provision.
Inspectors praised Moss Valley as a “friendly, inclusive school” where “pupils feel happy and well cared for” and “are celebrated for their individuality.”Children across the school embody the core values of being “respectful, hard-working, resilient and independent.”
Headteacher David Nightingale expressed his pride:
“This report reflects the tireless commitment of our staff, the spirit of our pupils, and the partnership we continue to build with families and our Trust. We are thrilled that the inspectors recognised the warmth and ambition that defines Moss Valley.”
The report highlights the school’s ambitious, engaging curriculum and how “staff deliver it well, explaining things clearly and using well-chosen activities.”Pupils are “passionate about reading”, and the phonics programme is described as “well-organised and delivered with confidence.”
From the earliest years, the school’s impact is clear. Inspectors noted:
“From the moment children enter the early years, their independence and self-belief are nurtured.”
The school’s inclusive approach is also celebrated:

Children take on leadership roles with enthusiasm and pride, from pupil parliamentto subject ambassadors, and benefit from “a variety of clubs” and “exciting trips”that enhance character development. The report highlights how “pupils carry out their duties with pride” and enjoy “alternative high-quality activities to ensure that no pupil misses out.”
Governors and leaders were praised for their strategic vision and investment in professional development. Staff noted they feel “motivated and valued” and particularly appreciate the school’s “bespoke approach to high-quality training.”
