The Deans Primary School joins Kings Academy Trust

Kings Academy Trust is delighted to welcome The Deans Primary School into the Trust as of 1st April 2025.

The Deans Primary School, Stanwell Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5TD

The Deans Primary School is an outstanding two form entry Primary School in Salford which is ambitious for all pupils including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Pupils strive to meet the school’s high expectations. They benefit from a high-quality curriculum alongside a nurturing approach to their well- being. As a result, pupils achieve exceptionally well.

The Deans Primary School was opened in September 1994. The first Head Teacher was Mrs F. Hartley.

In 2007 the school had an exceptional year and topped the National League tables in SATs.

Mrs P. Frayne became head teacher in September 2009, and the school continued to go from strength to strength.

Mr S. Kirkpatrick became head teacher in September 2014, and in October 2017 the school moved site to a new building to continue to grow and welcome even more students to The Deans family.

As of 1st April 2025 The Deans has moved to become part of the Kings Academy Trust family . The Trust is very excited to welcome Stephen Kirkpatrick the Headteacher to the team along with his excellent staff and all of the students.
